  • Understand the link between your health and your life: Become empowered and informed about how and why we are the way we are. Find tools to cultivate change in the areas we need.

  • Learn how to support your health before problems arise: Receive help with everyday issues, along with strategies to maintain health. This includes, for example, seasonal treatment sessions for pollen allergies or taking a treatment during ovulation to prevent menstrual discomfort. As always, prevention is better (and kinder) than cure.

  • Experience what it is like to feel truly relaxed: It is one thing to try to mentally relax. It is entirely another to feel that via the authentic experience of the body. Being taken into this state is healing in itself.

  • Step out of the ordinary with one of our live-in retreats: Jeremy and Maria conduct live-in retreats from a weekend to 5 days. These range in focus from diving deep into the world of expanded touch to the peace and meaningfulness of connection through ceremony and ritual.

SHIATSU is an energy-focused bodywork that facilitates healing.

The treatment affects not only the physical body, but also the person’s spiritual, psychological, and emotional state.

This is because the treatment focuses on reprogramming the body’s “software” to effect change.

The session is performed on the floor, on a mattress, with the client clothed.

It takes about 50 minutes and may involve anything from light to firm and steady pressure on various points, meridian pathways, and areas of imbalance in the body.

The effect can be very relaxing, and it often happens that the client enters a dream-like state where they can have contact with deeper parts of themselves. Spontaneous body movements, emotions, images, colours, dreams and so on may be experienced by the client during the session.

The subtlest aspects of Shiatsu opens our connection to the unconscious within ourselves. The volume of our inner voice may have been turned down for years till the only means left to the body to gain our attention is via physical or emotional imbalance.

In a healthy body, where energy (and the awareness it carries) flows freely, there is no space for illness to enter.
